Web Beacons
I don't use Yahoo, but I have just received word about the Web Beacons they use. It seems that if someone is part of a Yahoo User Group, that Yahoo not only tracks that person while they are on Yahoo, but also on outside Websites as well. Scary, isn't it! Is possible for a Search Engine to exist without selling out to the Establishment?

Evidently not but if they want me, all they have to do is knock on my door. I'm probably one of the least anonymous people out here. (Accidentally, I didn't know better when I first bought my computer).
It's a blessing in a way. I can post articles from our local news and talk about what one small city is trying to accomplish for change without worrying about someone discovering who I am.
I'm not very anonymous either. Since I am the Treasurer of the Washington County Democrats in Utah, it is difficult for me to keep a low profile!
