I had dinner with several people yesterday who work for the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. This seems like a good organization that deserves support. Here is the website: http://BestFriends.org.
I saw Brokeback Mountain on Saturday. Although it isn't the type of Movie, I would normally see, I chose to see it in order to financially reward the Movie Theater in Southern Utah that actually had the guts to show it!

It opened here Friday and my gay son and I will be attending next week.
I wrote to my local paper when we had heard it wouldn't be shown here at all and got a couple of negative responses including one who said this city would never show it.

When the Fahrenheit Movie was released, the Local Theater owner, who at the time owned all the theaters in Southern, Utah, as well as Mesquite, Nevada said he would never show it. However, it was a threat he was unable to keep!
