Social Gospel

I have been doing some research on The Social Gospel Movement that took shape during the late 19th Century, to early 20th Century. I haven't got too far yet, but most people seem to think that Walter Rauschenbusch (1861-1918) was the Key Person, in this movement. Will give more details tomorrow on this.

For those who would like general information about the fallacies of Excessively Conservative Christianity, click on this link: http://Liberalslikechrist.org .

Please do return and report Kris. I am interested in the subject, but have little time these days for studying outside of school.

Here are a few sites on morality vis a vis christianity that I have enjoyed though:

Read my posts over the next several days. I hope to address this very issue.

I hope this thread isn't too dead to post to.
We "Liberals Like Christ" are trying to pick up where the "Social Gospel" movement was killed off by the wealthy creators of the fundamentalist movement.
If you go to our http://www.LiberalsLikeChrist.Org/ web site and search for "Social Gospel", you'll find several pages from Raushenbush that we are working on.
