Hurricane Katrina

Hurricane Katrina has wreaked utter devestation on the Gulf Coast. Anyone with even a casual interest in Hurricanes, has known for many years that New Orleans was a highly vulnerable city. When the Levees held for a day it looked as if New Orleans might escape complete destruction once again. But cruelly two of the Levees busted to create the calamity we are now witnessing.

The response to this disaster by Mr. Bush was predictable. He sat around twiddling his thumbs untill a few of his advisers finally told him it might be politically expedient, to do something.

New Orleans will never be as large as it once was, and that is alright. With Global Warming taking place, large hurricanes will constantly threaten vulnerable coastal cities (i.e. New Orleans, Miami, etc.) . So we can either voluntarily scale back the size of those coastal cities, or face natures wrath needlessly.

Once again my heart goes out to those people who have been to hell and back. Hopefully we all will do our part to help the Gulf Coast Refugees.

God Bless
