Questions

The St. George Spectrum (Newspaper) sent me 4 questions they wanted me to answer about my Political Campaign. I finished my answers, and they will be published in the Newspaper.

My Mother wrote a letter to the Spectrum, supporting my Candidacy. They called her, and said they will be publishing her letter.

Campaign Signs

I just finished putting up 25 Campaign Signs! Also, I will also be running an Advertisement in the Dixie Weekly, and the Hurricane Valley Journal.

Yesterday, I attended the What Women Want Expo. The reason I went to the Expo, was to visit the Code Pink booth! For those who don't know what Code Pink is about, they are a group of Ladies, with Chapters all across the Nation, who want to bring the troops home from Iraq! The Women at the Booth, asked me to leave some of my Campaign Flyers on their table.

I have been speaking at alot of debates lately. On Monday, I was at the Rotary Club Luncheon Debate. On Wednesday, I was at the AOPC Debate. Many People told me that they thought I did a good job.

Last Tuesday, I became a member of the St. George Elks Lodge. I look forward to being of service to others!

Honk and Wave

I started doing the Honk and Wave, with my 3 foot x 3 foot campaign sign, yesterday and today. The response has been good!

Today I tried to do some volunteer doorbelling for Pete Ashdown's Senatorial Race. However, I was unable to do so, since the person who was supposed to show up with the flyers, never did. It wasn't a complete waste of time, since I was able to inform the other Volunteers about my Campaign for County Commissioner, and show them my Honk and Wave Sign!

I have also been helping Don Miller, who is running for the State Legislature, put up his Campaign Signs! I heard that he was doing the Honk and Wave for his Campaign yesterday.

Chamber of Commerce

Last Wednesday I took part in a Candidates Forum sponsored by The St. George Chamber of Commerce. My Political Opponent for the position of County Commissioner, was also there. I made a good showing, but was saddened when my Opponent had a meltdown after I finished answering a question about the proposed Lake Powell Pipeline. He began berating me and telling me that I didn't know what I was talking about. It was amazing that the Audience of about 100 People weren't able to hear him. If they had, they would realize how truly psychotic that Fellow actually is! Yesterday, when the Newspaper article of the event was published, the Newspaper Reporter misquoted me on a very important point! I called to have the matter clarified, and a retraction was carried in todays Newspaper!

Campaign Website

Please visit my Campaign Website: http://KrisBallard.com. If you read my Blog, and my Website, you can get some insight into what a Grass-Roots Campaign for Political Office, looks like! There are only 24 days left, until the election!

Yesterday I attended the Grand Opening of Congressman Jim Matheson's, St. George Campaign Headquarters. The event was well attended, and the Congressman, was in attendance.

Although I have included this Website in my Blog previously: http://SoldiersPeace.com, I must post it again as a special tribute to a true Patriot! Keep up the good work, Marshall Thompson!

Pete Ashdown

Yesterday, Pete Ashdown had his first debate with Orrin Hatch. Since I was working, I was unable to attend this important event. This morning however, I read the Newspaper Report in the St. George Spectrum Newspaper. It sounds as if Pete, pretty well stomped Orrin! I just hope the Voters of Utah, will wake up and realize what a Great Candidate for the U.S. Senate, that Pete Ashdown is!

The first side will be the same as my Regular Flyer, but the other side will let People know about my Radio Interview on November 1st!

Yesterday

Yesterday, I went Door-Belling with my Campaign Flyers, and was warmly received by the Voters! This morning I also handed out some of my Flyers to my Friends, who always drink Coffee at the Grocery Store. One time, these Fellows even bought me Hot Chocolate, since I don't drink Coffee! Tonight, I'm going to go Door-Belling again!

Sorghum

I marched in the Sorghum Parade today! This was a small Parade, so I didn't run out of Candy. My Mom marched in the Parade with me, and my Campaign Manager drove my Truck. This will probably be the last Parade I march in, before the Elections, unless there is one coming up that I don't know about.

Yesterday I had 300 Campaign Flyers copied off. On Monday I'm going to begin Door-Belling!

Interview

My Radio Interview will be on November 1st, at 9 AM, on KDXU! I will be on the Mike McGary Show.

I will be in the Sorghum Parade this Saturday! Although I have never seen Sorghum, it is supposed to be similar to Corn.

Yesterday, I visited Congressman Mathesons new St. George, Campaign Headquarters. Although the Official Grand Opening is later, it was good to get a Sneak-Preview. Several other volunteers, were there also. The Home-Made Chocolate-Chip Cookies that were served, made the Meeting especially memorable!
